(Late) Dr. Vandana Sharma was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Mathematics at the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IITJ), India. She had received a master’s in mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where she was also selected as an Indian Academy of Science Summer fellow, and worked on topological spaces in the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai. She got her doctorate in mathematics from the University of Houston in the USA, where she studied the well-posedness of volume-surface reaction-diffusion systems on manifolds, with applications in cell biology. She joined Arizona State University (ASU) in September 2014- 2019 and has been teaching ASU online as well as face-to-face Differential Equations, Calculus, and Linear Algebra. Dr. Vandana Sharma was interested in implementing innovative techniques to present concepts geometrically, and in simplified form, which would help her students to understand the material, and build analytical thinking. She was also serving as Adjunct faculty at Arizona State University.
