Ravi Yadav is a Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur. Dr. Ravi Yadav completed his M.tech and P.h.D degree from the electrical engineering department at IIT Kharagpur. His doctoral work, titled "Power system monitoring and analysis using synchrophasor data" was under the guidance of Prof. Ashok Kumar Pradhan, IIT Kharagpur. After doctorate, he worked as a subject matter expert (WAMS) and product owner at General Electric (GE) Hyderabad center, where he contributed towards both research and development of WAMS based analytics products. He received the GE-Impact Award and GE-Spotlight Awards for contributions to WAMS based analytics products. He has experience with industry-accepted WAMS and data exchange standards, signal processing algorithms, software development, microservices, database management, machine/deep learning tools, etc.
His current research interests include power system dynamics, wide-area measurement systems, dynamic interactions of large-scale renewable integration, anomaly detection, AI/ML applications to power system automation, and cyber-attack modeling and diagnosis.
