Dr. Hirshikesh works as an Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur in India. Before joining IIT Jodhpur, they were a postdoctoral fellow at IAM-Microstructure Modelling and simulation lab at KIT Karlsruhe in Germany. They have obtained their M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Madras in India, where they worked at the integrated Modeling and Simulation Laboratory (iMSL) and the Mechanics of Materials Laboratory. They are passionate about understanding fracture processes in laminated composites and functionally graded materials using novel computational methods. Their aim is to develop a computationally efficient tool for understanding fracture mechanics.
