Dr. Ganesh Manjhi is an Assistant Professor in the Centre for Mathematical and Computational Economics in the School of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science at IIT Jodhpur. Prior to this, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Gargi College, University of Delhi, consultant at the Asian Development Bank, Research Assistant at ICRIER. He completed his Masters from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, M.Phil in Macroeconomics in 2011, and Ph.D. in Political Economy (Theory and Empirics) at the Centre for International Trade and Development, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi in 2019.
In his M.Phil dissertation he worked on Mundell’s idea of impossible trinity in the context of India, and for Ph.D work he focused on analysing political budget cycle, political transfer cycle, opportunistic and partisan behaviours of the political parties/ politicians, and interest group politics.
His area of interest pertains to Political and Institutional Economy, Macroeconomics, Growth Economics, Applied Econometrics and Forecasting.
