I am Chandana N, a PhD scholar from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India, working in Environmental Engineering. I have a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, and have civil engineering bachelor's degree. I have six years of work experience in Academics (as a teaching assistant and assistant professor) and the Information technology field (as a test analyst). I have been intensively working on fecal sludge management, keeping up with the current trends and state-of-the-art. My main work areas include design and modeling of water and sanitation systems, technical verification of designs for wastewater treatment plants, third-party technical audit, air pollution, and evaluation of various developmental projects implemented by the government. I was awarded the Ministry of Human Resource Development scholarship during my master's and PhD.
During my term as an assistant professor and teaching assistant, I have understood the importance of teaching undergraduates to build a sustainable society. I have worked on major national and international projects and have had opportunities to interact and work with researchers from different universities across the world on the characterization of environmental samples. I believe that perseverance and dedication never go unrewarded, I have followed these principles since I became aware of them, and it gets reflected in my consistently good academic performance. I have experience in technical writing and have published my ideas in international peer-reviewed journals. I have always been a spirited person, participating in co- and extracurriculars to explore and discover activities that delighted me.
I want to build my expertise in environmental pollution, focusing on the benefits to people and the environment. This agenda needs informed policy and implementation, design and analysis of critical programs, and an interdisciplinary study of a broader set of problems.
