Professor Venkatesan joined IIT Jodhpur as Visiting Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, after superannuating from IIT Kanpur on 2 July 2018. The Institute warmly welcomes him, and wishes him many more successes for the nation during his service at IIT Jodhpur. He obtained Master of Science and Doctoral degrees in Engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. After gaining experience in both industry and academic research, he joined the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur as Faculty Member. His research interests are in the field of helicopter dynamics and aeroelasticity, smart structures and autonomous helicopter.
