The temperature variation (77 to 300 K) of the magnetization of a toroidally shaped amorphous Fe40Ni40B20 alloy is measured at different magnetic fields ranging from 16 to 30 Oe. The spontaneous magnetization MS at different temperatures (T) is estimated by the approach to saturation method. MS(T) is fitted with the equation MS(T) = MS(0)(1 - BT3 2 - CT5 2) which gives the spin wave stiffness constant D as 128 meV Å2 and the range of interaction 〈 r2 〉1 2 as 2.85 Å. © 1990.
