Floriculture is an integral part of modern agriculture. Genetic transformation techniques pave way for the development of biotechnology assisted novel varieties which are appealing to customers. Customer preference in floriculture changes rapidly with time. Recently discovered CRISPR/Cas genome editing technique is useful in editing key genes attributing to a trait with the enhanced aesthetic appeal of plants. This chapter primarily discusses the application of biotechnology-based tools for improvement of floriculture plants to keep up with consumer appeal.
